The 1st Messenger Instant Messaging System is part of the 1st Messenger Limited Group.

This privacy policy will explain how our organisation uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?

1st Messenger collects the following data:

• Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
• Business Information – for your business (Name, email address, phone number, etc.).

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide 1st Messenger with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

• Register online or register from the 1st Messenger apps.
• Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
• Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

1st Messenger collects your data so that we can:

• Allow your access to the 1st Messenger web system and apps and manage your account.
• Email you with new and breaking info on the 1st Messenger system we think you might like.

1st Messenger will never share your data with any other parties or companies.

How do we store your data?

1st Messenger securely stores your data at Fully Secure UK-Based Data Centres.

1st Messenger will keep your DATA for as long as you are a 1st Messenger system user. If you choose to delete your account, we will keep your data for a maximum period of three months. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by completely deleting off all our server(s).

Subsequent to this action, should you ever intend to use the 1st Messenger system again, you will need to completely sign-up for the system use from scratch.

Marketing

1st Messenger will never send you any marketing information or give your details to any marketing agencies, etc.

What is your data protection rights?

1st Messenger would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request 1st Messenger for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that 1st Messenger correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request 1st Messenger to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that 1st Messenger erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that 1st Messenger restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to 1stMessenger’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that 1st Messenger transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Contacts

Contact upload is an optional feature that allows the 1stMessenger System to check which of your contacts in your device's address book are also 1stMessenger System users. It also means we can update your 1stMessenger System contact list when your contacts who aren't using 1stMessenger System yet sign up later.

We are very concerned about your privacy and we DO NOT EVER share your contact list with anyone. Nor do we store them for any period on our 1stMessenger System Servers etc.

They are only used to check and inform and allow you to connect with other 1stMessenger System users, when you sign-up to the 1stMessenger System.

How we use your contacts…

When you use contact upload and grant the 1stMessenger System access to your device address book, 1stMessenger will access and upload the phone numbers in your address book. We don’t collect any of the other information that could appear in your device address book including names, email addresses, etc.

If any of your contacts aren’t yet using 1stMessenger, we do not access their phone numbers or contact them at any time in any way…. When your friends, relatives and other contacts do join the 1stMessenger System, their contact upload will then allow them to connect to you.

You can control the contact upload feature from your device-based settings. If you choose not to use Contact Upload you can still communicate with people who have 1stMessenger but certain functionality will be limited.

The 1st Messenger website may also contain links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.
