Contact upload is an optional feature that allows the 1stMessenger System to check which of your contacts in your device's address book are also 1stMessenger System users. It also means we can update your 1stMessenger System contact list when your contacts who aren't using 1stMessenger System yet sign up later.
We are very concerned about your privacy and we DO NOT EVER share your contact list with anyone. Nor do we store them for any period on our 1stMessenger System Servers etc.
They are only used to check and inform and allow you to connect with other 1stMessenger System users, when you sign-up to the 1stMessenger System.
When you use contact upload and grant the 1stMessenger System access to your device address book, 1stMessenger will access and upload the phone numbers in your address book. We don’t collect any of the other information that could appear in your device address book including names, email addresses, etc.
If any of your contacts aren’t yet using 1stMessenger, we do not access their phone numbers or contact them at any time in any way…. When your friends, relatives and other contacts do join the 1stMessenger System, their contact upload will then allow them to connect to you.
You can control the contact upload feature from your device-based settings. If you choose not to use Contact Upload you can still communicate with people who have 1stMessenger but certain functionality will be limited.
The 1st Messenger website may also contain links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.
